Glass blasting is a gently alternative to sand blasting, used for less hardy materials. Glass blasting is obvious for cleaning e.g.:

Glass blasting as a final product
Glass blasting can be used to clean different types of items, but it can also be used as a final product. E.g. frames for tables and chairs can be glass blasted and give a special affect or look. In the same way, glass blasted glass gives a matt surface. Following, both can be oil treated in order to protect the material from dirt. Glass blasted copper improves a beautiful verdigris process.
